Join us for our June Business After Hours on June 14, 2022. PrimeLending, a PlainsCapital Company is hosting its Business After Hours on the Valley Gem sternwheeler. Everyone will meet at the PrimeLending office located at 104 Front Street in Marietta, OH at 4:30pm to take a tour of the office. We will then walk over to the levee board at 4:45pm to board the Valley Gem.

Enjoy a nice boat ride on the river, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar. The Valley Gem leaves at 5pm sharp! Make sure to arrive by 4:45pm to ensure that you do not miss the boat!

Join the MOV Chamber and the team at Camden Clark for the official Ribbon Cutting for the West Virginia Junior College new hybrid online registered nursing program launch in Wood County. The program, in collaboration with WVU Medicine Camden Clark, implements a first-of-its-kind model designed to accelerate the nursing shortage recovery.

The program's Mobile Nursing Lab - a 38' RV that has been retrofitted with two simulated hospital rooms for nursing training - will be available for tours at the ribbon cutting.

CANCELLED - The Government Relations Committee meeting for Wednesday, July 20 is cancelled. We will plan to meet again in September.

Government Relations Committee reviews proposed Legislation and recommends action to be taken on behalf of our members. The Committee maintains strong relationships with our local elected officials. This committee now meets meets bi-monthly.

Some are sporty and require athleticism (like volleyball or kickball or dodgeball); some are less sporty (like office Olympics or euchre or backgammon).

This event is for existing/current Partner in Education business reps/liaisons and school principals.

We were literally days away from the 2020 Partner in Education Luncheon when our lives completely changed. Two plus years of not being together in person to celebrate our school/business relationships didn’t mean that we weren’t together in spirit - just that we couldn’t do things the way we normally had.

Guess what? It’s time to RECONNECT!

Business partner liaisons and principals are invited to a Business Partner Reconnection Reception to be held on Thursday, August 4th from 12:30pm - 2:00pm. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Many faces have changed; some haven’t - we have some new business liaisons; there are some new principals; there are also several who have been liaisons for years - we all need to RECONNECT. Now’s the time to sit down for a meet and greet before the 2022-2023 school year starts to renew those partnerships.

Where is this event taking place?

Plan A: We are hoping to have the Reconnection Reception at the new Discovery World on Market (711 Market Street) if the AC installation happens on schedule.

Plan B: We will have the Reconnection Reception just around the corner at the Wood County Society 317 8th Street.

Plan C: There might be a Plan C so the important thing is we need you to RSVP so that we can confirm attendees and the location.

Tres Ross and Wendy Shriver will be on hand to give principals and business partners an update on the Discovery World on Market and hopefully a behind-the-scenes tour. Christie Willis, the new Wood County superintendent, will also be in attendance.

Learn about the services that Biztec has to offer and their partnership with Verkada. There will also be a demonstration of Verkada's security products.

Meet one of Biztec's partners from Verkada, Christian Skuce. Emily Sams, Marketing Specialist at Biztec, will be doing brief introductions and speak momentarily about the services that Biztec has to offer. Joseph Sams, President and Owner of Biztec, will discuss their partnership with Verkada. Christian Skuce will do a demonstration of Verkada's security products.
