Update as of 3/12/20:
All of us in the business world have had to make decisions
under situations of uncertainty and this one certainly qualifies.
I am sad to share that we have decided to postpone the Partners in Education luncheon, that was scheduled for next Thursday March 19 at WVU-Parkersburg. After discussions with leadership from WVU-P and area schools, we felt it was in the best interest of all parties to forego next week’s luncheon as we await guidance from state leadership on gatherings such as the size of this event.
It is my plan that the event will be rescheduled – we have not yet secured a new date. For those that have already paid for your reservations, thank you – we will keep track of the reservations and apply your payment to the rescheduled date. For those that have not paid for your reservation as of today, if you want to wait until the rescheduled date to pay for your attendance, that works for us.
Thank you so much for your understanding during this
uncertain time. If you have any questions, please drop me a note.
This year marks our 35th annual luncheon to bring together students, teachers, principals and business representatives in celebration of the MOV Chamber's Partner in Education program.
Each school’s Business Partner is asked to help offset the cost of the luncheon so that 2 students, 2 school representatives and 2 business representatives attend on behalf of each partnership.
If your business is one of several partners for the same school, I recommend that you connect with one another and the principal (or the school's partner in education liaison) to decide how many attendees you want to sponsor or other special reservation instructions. There is a section on the form to jot those instructions or give me a call to chat. Once I receive the business partner RSVPs, I then follow up with the principals with an exact count so that tables are set up correctly and things flow smoothly on the day of the event.
On-line registration is now LIVE. Click here to register (deadline to register is Friday, March 13.)
Please call the Chamber office at 304.422.3588 with any questions.
Payment is appreciated prior to the event either via credit card or check.
