Road Trip!!
The Government Relations Committee is coordinating MOV Chamber Day at the Capital on Tuesday, February 12.
All Chamber members are welcome to join us!
The 2019 Legislative Session is one month in, but already over 1000 bills have been introduced in the House and Senate.
Are you making your voice heard about the things that are important to you and your business?
Do you know how the actions in Charleston may affect you and your business?
Join us on February 12 for a front-row seat to the legislative process.
Attend Committee meetings and the General Session.
Have lunch with our elected officials and special guests.
Share your concerns, but more importantly, take time to learn.
We will have the Governor's Cabinet & Conference Room (adjacent to the Secretary of State's wing) reserved from 10:30am - 2:30pm. Lunch will be served from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
Please plan to spend some time in the Conference Room as our legislators will stop by in between committee meetings and session to join us for lunch. I encourage you to bring any talking points or handouts pertaining to your organization to share with our elected officials.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, February 6.
There is no cost for Chamber members to attend.
Lunch is complimentary, and has been sponsored by our friends at First Energy.
Transportation to and from Charleston is the responsibility of the Chamber member, although we are happy to explore getting the 17-passenger shuttle bus again if there is interest in riding down together again this year. PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU WANT TO RIDE DOWN IN THE CHAMBER-MOBILE.
If you would prefer to carpool with other members, let me know that too and I will get you in contact with other members who are attending. A detailed email will be sent out to all registrants prior to the visit.
We are also inviting other key stakeholders to join us for lunch, such as
Governor Jim Justice
Attorney General Patrick Morrisey
Secretary of State Mac Warner
