Please join us as we celebrate the launch of The Mid-Ohio Valley Men’s Clothing Closet. This program is made possible through a collaboration of MOV Chamber members, The Parkersburg Area Jaycees, Hornor & Harrison, Ohio Valley University and The Professional Womens Association cordially invite you to the Grand Opening of this program that will provide FREE professional attire to those in need. Please meet in the main lobby of the Stotts Administration Building at 11:00am and we will walk down to the lower level where the Closet is located as a group.

Hornor & Harrison is currently accepting any suit jackets, suit pants and ties at their location at 2709 Murdoch Avenue in Parkersburg.

ALTERNATIVE PLAN FOR CHAMBER CHAMPIONS THIS MONTH

In lieu of our regularly scheduled Chamber Champions Committee meeting that falls on this day, we invite you to join us to support a fellow member, Highmark WV for their Wellness Wednesday Lunch & Learn session. This month’s topic will be “Coping Thru the Holidays.” Learn about the warning signs of depression and seasonal sadness. Lunch will be provided.  Highmark is located at the Corner of 7th & Market and we will be in Conference Room 149 from 11:30am-12:00pm. TOPIC: Bank on Your Success

The 2019 Legislative Session will begin on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Our local elected Senators and Delegates spend 60 days in session. Here's your opportunity to meet with them prior to the start of the session, in a local setting without the distraction of all the busy legislative schedules and activities. There will be a short 2 minute introduction from each legislator, and then we will have an open panel question and answer session from Chamber members. 

Here's a starting point for Chamber members as you prepare some Q&A or concerns to share at this Meet and Greet - What one thing could our elected officials do that would allow you to hire 10% more workforce?

Government Relations Committee reviews proposed Legislation and recommends action to be taken on behalf of our members. The Committee maintains strong relationships with our local elected officials. This committee now meets meets bi-monthly.
