MOV Chamber Day at the Capital
Road Trip!!

The Government Relations Committee is coordinating MOV Chamber Day at the Capital on Tuesday, February 6.
All Chamber members are welcome to join us!

The 2018 Legislative Session is only 7 days in, but already over 926 bills have been introduced in the House and Senate.
Are you making your voice heard about the things that are important to you and your business?
Do you know how the actions in Charleston may affect you and your business?

Join us on February 6 for a front-row seat to the legislative process.  
Attend Committee meetings and the General Session.
Have lunch with our elected officials and special guests.
Share your concerns, but more importantly, take time to learn.

We will have the Governor's Cabinet & Conference Room (adjacent to the Secretary of State's wing) reserved from 10:30am - 2:30pm. Lunch will be served from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Please plan to spend some time in the Conference Room as our legislators will stop by in between committee meetings and session to join us for lunch.  I encourage you to bring any talking points or handouts pertaining to your organization to share with our elected officials.

Planning Meeting for the 2018 Partner in Education Luncheon
The 2018 PIE Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 19 at WVU-Parkersburg and we are looking for members who would like to help plan a fun outing for students, school personnel and business partners.  Each year approximately 300 people attend and enjoy a delicious lunch catered by the AVI team at WVU-P.  After lunch we typically have an "activity" with each table that consist of 2 students, 2 school personnel and 2 reps from the business partner.  It's always a fun time to celebrate the special partnerships developed in Wood County between our public/private schools and area businesses.  

Think you might want to help us plan the activity/luncheon?  We would love to have your ideas!
Feel free to bring your lunch and join us for a working lunch meeting.
